The academic year 2020-21 commenced on June 1^st for all classes. This year, the day was different from what is usually witnessed each school year. The academic year started amid the COVID-19 pandemic through a virtual platforms. Classes were conducted online, and links to online study material were sent to students via WhatsApp, emails and SMS.

AV Schools Reduce Weight of School Bags

As per the directions of MHRD regarding reducing the weight of school bags, Amrita Vidyalayam schools are restricting the subjects for Standards 1 and 2 to English, Mathematics, and second and third languages. Standards 3 to 5 will have EVS in addition to the above subjects.

Students will also have Extra Skills Venture/Talent Time and Heritage Education, apart from the regular Health & Physical Education, Art Education and Work Experience.
