On this occasion, Amrita Vidyalayam Kodungallur conducted a seminar on “Preserve and Enhance the Tiger Ecosystem” by Thejal Shiju of class 8. Arjun Praveen from the same class shared a speech on “Threats Faced by Tigers.”
They highlighted that the decline in the tiger population is due to habitat destruction, global warming, illegal wildlife trade, and hunting. The shrinking habitat also forces tigers to wander near human communities, leading to animal-human conflicts.
Their presentations reinforced the importance of coordinated efforts across governments, borders, and sectors to protect tigers and their ecosystems for future generations.
