Kargil Day was commemorated in our school on July 26, 2024, to honour the valour and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought in the Kargil War. Organized by the Social Science Department, the event aimed to foster a sense of national pride and respect for our armed forces among the students.
Students reflected on the soldiers’ sacrifices and were encouraged to carry forward the spirit of patriotism in their lives. The celebration included singing patriotic songs, which filled the atmosphere with pride and unity. Class 10 students delivered speeches about Kargil Vijay Diwas, highlighting the significance of the victory.
A quiz competition on the Kargil War and Indian military history was conducted for class VI, providing an engaging way to enhance their knowledge about the country’s military history. Sidharth K. Aneesh from Class 8 A presented an impressive model of the Kargil War battlefield, honouring the bravery of the Indian soldiers and educating students about the strategic aspects of the war.
Students from classes 6-8 created posters, encouraging creativity, and fostering a sense of patriotism while educating them about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event was a memorable and inspiring occasion, deeply resonating with the students, and instilling a lasting sense of respect for our armed forces.
